// for marine & boat repair

The call comes in while you're under the cowling.

A mobile marine mechanic can't answer with both hands in an outboard. The AI picks up, gets the boat, the motor and the ramp, and puts the job on your calendar.

// how the call goes
  • HandledHi, this is the AI assistant for the shop. This call may be recorded for quality. How can I help?
  • CallerMy outboard won't start. It's a Yamaha 150, boat's on the trailer at my house in Port St. Lucie.
  • HandledGot it — Yamaha 150, on the trailer, Port St. Lucie. That's inside our radius. Is it turning over at all, or nothing?
  • CallerIt cranks but won't catch.
  • HandledThat's a diagnostic visit. It's a flat fee, and it comes off the repair if you go ahead. I can do tomorrow morning or Thursday afternoon.
  • CallerTomorrow morning.
  • HandledBooked. You'll get a text with the window and the fee, and he'll call before he leaves.

Why this trade misses calls

You are physically unable to answer

Hands in an engine, on a lift, on someone's boat in a slip. A phone that rings out during a job is the normal state of this trade, not the exception.

Boat owners call three shops

Marine work is urgent and seasonal. The one who picks up gets the job — not the one who calls back at six.

The wrong questions cost the drive

Without the make, the motor and where the boat actually is, you find out it's a two-hour tow when you arrive.

What it has to know

A person loads all of this from your own price list and booking rules before the line goes live, then keeps adjusting it once real calls start coming in. It is not a form you fill in.

  • Your service-call minimum and your diagnostic fee, quoted from the list you sign off on
  • How far you travel, and what happens past that radius
  • Make and motor — Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Sea-Doo — before anyone is dispatched
  • Whether the boat is on a trailer, in a slip or on a lift
  • Which jobs are emergencies and go straight through to your phone
  • Your membership or care-plan customers, and what they're owed first
// we have shipped in this trade

JC Boats and Motors

Public marine site plus a private dashboard the owner runs the business from — jobs, invoices, memberships, a live text inbox, Care Plan recurring billing and QuickBooks sync. Yamaha/Mercury/Suzuki/Sea-Doo certified, 49-mile mobile radius, city pages across the Treasure Coast.

That's a website and owner portal we built and shipped — you can open it right now. It is not a phone line we answer for them. Handled Phone has no customers yet; you would be the first. We're showing it because it's how we know what this trade actually books, and because you can check it.

// where these clients are

Handled is run out of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, and most of the work above is within an hour of it — Port St. Lucie, Stuart, Fort Pierce, Jensen Beach, Palm City and the Treasure Coast. The line itself works anywhere in the country; the reason to mention the map is that we have actually stood in these businesses.

Straight answers

Will it quote a repair price on the phone?

It quotes what you tell it to quote — usually the service-call minimum and the diagnostic fee — and nothing else. It never estimates a repair it hasn't seen. A number invented on a live call is the fastest way to lose a customer twice.

What if the boat is outside my radius?

It knows your radius. Past it, it either says so and takes a message or quotes your travel rate — your call, set when the line is built.

Can it handle an emergency — someone stranded?

Yes. You decide which words mean emergency (taking on water, stranded, on the water now) and it transfers straight to your phone instead of booking.

Does it speak Spanish?

Yes, on every plan, from the first ring. A large share of boat owners and yard staff on the Treasure Coast speak Spanish, and the caller picks the language.
